In \u00d6sterreich reagierten die Kraftstoffpreise zudem auf \u00c4nderungen der Roh\u00f6lpreise schw\u00e4cher als etwa in Italien und Deutschland. Das Branchen\u00fcbereinkommen 1990 (\"Gl\u00e4serne Tasche\") l\u00f6ste keine statistisch me\u00dfbare \u00c4nderung im Preisbildungsproze\u00df aus. Die Rohmarge (absolute Differenz zwischen Kraftstoffpreis an der Zapfs\u00e4ule ohne Steuern und dem Roh\u00f6lpreis) verl\u00e4uft spiegelbildlich zum Roh\u00f6lpreis: Sinkende Roh\u00f6lpreise erh\u00f6hen, steigende senken die Spanne f\u00fcr Roh\u00f6lverarbeitung und Kraftstoffvertrieb. Die hohen Nettopreise von Kraftstoffen in \u00d6sterreich lassen sich nur zum kleineren Teil auf Standortfaktoren, zum gr\u00f6\u00dferen Teil auf Wettbewerbsfaktoren zur\u00fcckf\u00fchren.
