Over the past ten years economic policy has concentrated on renewing the economic potential in Upper Styria; now the focus is shifting back to the border region. The Styrian government has commissioned WIFO to collaborate on a development plan for the Styrian border area. The results of the study indicate that the main growth potential lies in strengthening interregional links.
