At the same time, agriculture is increasingly affected by extreme weather events such as drought, aridity, and heavy precipitation. Resulting crop losses and productivity declines are bringing the issue of food security into the focus of the discussion on climate change mitigation and adaptation of agricultural production and nutrition. This paper provides an overview of the scientific analysis regarding the significance of climate-smart agriculture and nutrition.
