This investment growth is likely to be driven by companies in information and communication, transport and storage, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as administrative and support service activities. Large companies are more likely to expand their investments than small and medium-sized companies (SMEs). Investment activity will be driven primarily by demand and technological developments. Replacement investments are the most frequently cited investment target, with capacity expansions likely to gain in importance in 2022.
