As the quality of working conditions that influence scientific productivity are perceived to be the main drivers of the attractiveness of jobs in research, improving conditions such as research funding and autonomy, prospects for long-term careers and for working with leading researchers, are policies that are likely to increase the perception of the EU as an attractive location for research.
