In order to be able to better estimate future housing production, the number of approved new dwellings in single-family houses and in multi-family houses as well as the total housing permits are determined with forecast models. Decisive determinants are demographic development, the overall economic environment and housing policy. From 2011 (43,200 building permits) a decline in building permits is expected until 2013 (41,400 building permits).
