This project aims to illustrate the importance of the motor vehicle sector for the region and the regional economy by examining both direct and indirect linkages, i.e. the regional patterns of intermediate input relationships. In addition, the induced effects, i.e. those on income and private consumption, will be included in the analysis. This is to estimate how potential changes in automotive production could affect the regional labour market.
