The value of production in the agricultural sector increased slightly. The drop in income is due to high production costs and depreciation. Foreign trade in agricultural goods has increased again and exports have grown somewhat faster than imports. But Austria remained a net-importer of agricultural products. In the forestry sector, a larger share of felling in 2019 is again the consequence of damaging events. This has also put prices under pressure.
