Each chapter deals with one country or a region and describes the state of economic and agri-environmental indicators, current agricultural policy measures, programmes and ongoing reforms relevant for nutrient discharge in the regions, gives an overview of instruments to reduce water pollution, provides evidence on the effectiveness of measures to mitigate pollution.
