WIFO examined productivity development in Austria on the basis of microdata from Statistik Austria and compared it with the countries participating in the Multiprod project (including the innovation leaders Finland, Sweden and Denmark). Unfortunately, structural differences between the enterprise data of Statistik Austria (performance and structure survey) and other countries, such as the lack of capital stock data, considerably influence the results.
