Impact Assessments for Energy and Climate Strategies \u2013 Summary of Results"},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-51875","publication","type-publication","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":{"subtitle":"","text":"The analysis for designing future energy and climate strategies for Austria aims at two objectives: a deepened understanding of the energy system and to develop criteria for an evaluation of energy strategies. Three priorities are identified: multifunctional buildings that on the one hand are characterised by high energy efficiency and on the other exhibit an active role in energy supply; integrated mobility that is characterised by a transition towards non-fossil engines and digitalisation through information technologies that help to reduce the need for transport; integrated grids providing for new options for electricity in clusters, heat in energy grids and gas with the potential of biogenic energy sources and hydrogen. Together this offers new options for renewable energy sources.
