WIFO, in accordance with the Austrian PES, thus developed an \"Equality Index Labour Market\". The index pools 30 single indicators out of four topic areas \u2013 employment, income, education and family \u2013 to one indicator in order to allow for an aggregate view on the labour market position of women relative to men. The indicators along the four topic areas capture the role of women and men in the labour market quantitatively, show income and employment prospects, describe education and training patterns of women and men and consider how to reconcile family and work.
