The overall decline from 46,900 to 41,100 units (\u201312.4% or \u20135,800 units) in 2023 is particularly pronounced in the one- and two-family housing segment. A decline of 19.9% or 3,400 units to just 13,800 permits is expected here. In multi-storey construction, the forecast decline is somewhat weaker at \u20138.0% or 2,400 units. For 2024, the forecast models expect a stabilization, with an increase of 4.4% to around 43,000 approved units.
