Ongoing economic monitoring and reporting is highly relevant to provide retailers and the interested public with up-to-date data and analyses. The current report shows that the overall economic situation remained subdued at the beginning of the year and that the sentiment indicators for retailers have recently continued to improve. This applies to both current situation and business expectations. However, business activity in the retail sector remained subdued in January and February, although momentum has not deteriorated further recently.
