The program line \"climate and energy model regions\" aims at contributing to the achievement of the Austrian goals in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency and reduction of CO2 emissions. In this study, potential effects of measures to increase energy efficiency and the share of renewables planned in the model regions in the energy system and in the economy are estimated, focusing on the areas mobility, residential buildings and electricity and heat supply.
