The technology options are analysed with respect to their effects in the energy system as well as with respect to their effects on energy flows and emissions. The analysis of changes in the energy system is complemented by an economic analysis comprising an input-output analysis in order to reflect employment and output effects from the investment phase and an analysis of changes in operating costs due to the technology wedges.
