Innovative Unternehmen sind demnach mit einer h\u00f6heren Wahrscheinlichkeit auch im Export t\u00e4tig. Exportaktivit\u00e4ten wirken sich wiederum positiv auf die Innovationst\u00e4tigkeit aus. In Betrieben, die sowohl exportieren als auch Innovationen einf\u00fchren, wachsen Besch\u00e4ftigung und Produktivit\u00e4t \u00fcberdurchschnittlich. Innovations- und Exportt\u00e4tigkeiten von Unternehmen sind somit eng miteinander verkn\u00fcpft. Innovationshemmnisse wirken sich daher negativ auf das Exportverhalten von Unternehmen aus. Umgekehrt k\u00f6nnen Handelshemmnisse die Innovationst\u00e4tigkeit einschr\u00e4nken. Innovative Branchen sind davon insgesamt st\u00e4rker betroffen. Ma\u00dfnahmen zur F\u00f6rderung von Innovation und Exportf\u00f6rderma\u00dfnahmen sollten daher enger miteinander verkn\u00fcpft werden. Die Exportneigung innovativer Unternehmen, deren Innovationsverhalten und ihre Wahrnehmung von Handels- und Innovationshemmnissen unterscheiden sich systematisch zwischen EU-L\u00e4ndern in Abh\u00e4ngigkeit vom technologischen Entwicklungsstand.
