Between 1994 and 2006, expenditure for long-term care rose by about 50 percent. Calculations of the three scenarios set the rise in the cost of long-term care up to 2030 at 66 percent (lower bound scenario) to 207 percent (upper bound scenario). The middle scenario shows an increase of about 160 percent.
