Especially with regard to female unemployment and employment rates, indices in the future EU member countries are better than the EU average. Nevertheless, unemployment rates continue to be higher and have been losing ground to the EU rates in recent years. Among other factors this development has been influenced by lower internal mobility in accession countries.
