Rund 40% des Gesamtenergieverbrauchs entfallen auf den W\u00e4rmeverbrauch in Geb\u00e4uden. Das gr\u00f6\u00dfte Einsparungspotential liegt im \"mittleren\" Geb\u00e4udebestand, der in den Jahren 1945 bis 1980 errichtet wurde \u2013 das sind 1,48 Mio. Wohnungen, davon 743.000 in Ein- und Zweifamilienh\u00e4usern.
