Qualifizierung als Mittel zur Hebung der Beschäftigungsquote (Qualification as a Means of Raising the Employment Rate)
WIFO-Monatsberichte, 2022, 95(7), pp.457-466

Qualification as a Means of Raising the Employment Rate
For demographic reasons, the labour supply will grow less strongly in the coming years than in the past. In order to be able to supply the economy with qualified workers, strategies are needed to increase the employment rate. One important lever is skills development. This includes, in particular, investing in early childhood education to prevent early school leaving, promoting longer-term training for the unemployed to strengthen human capital and reducing barriers to further training.
