25 Years Scientist of the Year

26.03.2019

Ceremony at the Aula der Wissenschaften

For 25 years now, the Club of Educational and Science Journalists has been awarding the "Austrian Scientist of the Year" prize. On the occasion of the anniversary, a ceremony was held on 25 March 2019 at the Aula der Wissenschaften to which all prize winners of the past 25 years were invited – including WIFO Director Christoph Badelt and this year's Scientist of the Year Nuno Maulide.

With the annual election of the Scientist of the Year in 1994, Austria's education and science journalists pay tribute to a person from Austrian science for their extraordinary commitment in explaining and disseminating scientific achievements to the public. WIFO Director Christoph Badelt received the prize in 1999, and the chemist Nuno Maulide was chosen for 2018.
