Accelerated Growth Characterised by a Slight West-South-East Divide. Business Development in the Austrian Länder in 2016
In the year 2016, gross value added grew at an accelerated rate in Austria. The positive economic development is predominantly attributable to an increase in domestic demand. With some exceptions, a west-south-east divide in economic growth in the Austrian Länder was visible. In a similar vein, employment increased more strongly in the west and south than in the eastern part of Austria.
