Statistische Zerlegung produktspezifischer Inflationsraten in Österreich (Statistical Breakdown of Product-specific Inflation Rates in Austria)

Der überwiegende Teil der Inflation ist in Österreich auf die internationale Komponente zurückzuführen. Mit Ausnahme der ersten Monate des Jahres 2005 und der letzten Monate des Jahres 2007 wirkte die österreichspezifische Komponente gegenüber dem "underlying inflation trend" des Euro-Raumes inflationsdämpfend. Für 10 näher untersuchte Produktgruppen zeigen sich Ende 2007 und Anfang 2008 ausgeprägte österreichspezifische Inflationsbeiträge. Für die meisten der untersuchten Güter verringerte sich die heimische Komponente der Preissteigerungen im Jahresverlauf 2008. Eine Ausnahme von dieser Entwicklung bilden pharmazeutische Erzeugnisse und Kraftstoffe: Ihre Preissteigerung war auch Mitte 2008 noch merklich von der österreichspezifischen Komponente bestimmt.

Statistical Breakdown of Product-specific Inflation Rates in Austria
This study presents a statistical breakdown of the monthly inflation rates (by product group and country) for the euro zone into a common, product-specific component for all countries ("international"), and a country-specific component for each product in every country of the euro zone ("national" component).
